The Honda Pilot is a mid-size crossover SUV manufactured by Honda and introduced in 2002. Primarily aimed at the North American market, the Pilot is the largest SUV from Honda and features three-row seating. Pilots are currently manufactured in Lincoln, Alabama, and the Pilot was produced in Alliston, Ontario until April 2007. The first generation Pilot was released in April 2002 as a 2003 model.
The Honda Pilot has long been a can’t-go-wrong option in the three-row crossover segment. The third-generation model launched in 2016, and its combination of a roomy, well-built interior, strong engine, and competent handling chops made it appealing to families. But that doesn’t mean it was perfect.

The 2017 Honda Pilot is the SUV you’ve been waiting for. With seating for 8, it’ll complement every family on any adventure.
We didn’t know that Honda wasn’t already aware that its three-row Pilot crossover looked a lot like a minivan. Most Honda employees that we’ve met over the years appear to have functioning eyes. But apparently, our (and presumably many others’) constant refrain about the Pilot’s mommy-mobile look stung. Well, no more, bucko!
